We don’t care where your motivation comes from. All we want are your This is my Volcan photos showing your devotion to mountain biking. You don’t have to own a Volcan to enter; you just need to think like a mountain biker with soul.
HOW TO ENTER
Have a good look at these two Volcan adverts. It’s obvious that nothing is as important as the bike, right? Well, with a little creativity, you could probably come up with something as selfish, obsessive and proud, right?
Here’s what you have to do:
1. Get hold of a Volcan, beg, borrow or buy one (but don’t Photoshop one or you’ll DQ yourself).
2. Photograph it in a This is my Volcan style.
3. Send it to us at info@treadmag.co.za and write ‘This is my Volcan’ in the subject field.
4. Wait until 31 January 2010 when we put the top 10 entries up on www.treadmag.co.za.
5. Get your family, friends and Facebook friends to vote for your entry – the one with the most votes wins.
What do you win?
• A 2010 Volcan FS1 worth R55 000 for a year.
• If you race, you’ll get Volcan pro-team backing at each event, including spares, team mechanic and race support worth R45 000
• Your concept used as a Volcan print advert in 2010 with you on hand to help direct the shoot plus do a MTB ride and have dinner with the TREAD and Volcan crews.
• By entering this competition, you are yielding all rights to Volcan to use your concept in any form for any length of time to advertise their brand both in South Africa and internationally.
• Photographs need to be landscape (horizontal) format and can be taken with any kind of digital camera (yes, even a decent cell-phone camera)
• Originality is the most important aspect of the competition, photo quality doesn’t have to be great, but good enough for us to publish online for people to vote for.
